1. Itemised Personal Data Collected

In accordance with Rule 3 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Rules, this notice itemises the personal data collected from you before obtaining your consent:

Personal Data Categories:

  • Phone number, full name, date of birth, and account profile identifiers
  • Uploaded documents (images, PDFs, files) and voice messages
  • Text content extracted from documents via OCR
  • AI-generated metadata (document categories, tags, extracted dates, key attributes)
  • Search queries and natural language interaction history
  • Account preferences and settings, including reminder and notification choices, and the delivery status of what we send you
  • Subscription tier and billing records
  • Contact details of people you nominate, such as a family member or an emergency recipient
  • Records of your use of the service: features used, and counts of uploads, queries and other actions
  • Technical and session data: device information, IP address, approximate region, session and authentication tokens, error logs and performance metrics
  • Messages you send us for support, and any feedback you choose to give

2. Specified Purposes & Enabled Services

We process your personal data solely for the following specified purposes to enable core service functions:

  • Eligibility & Identity Matching: Confirming from your date of birth that you meet the minimum age of 18 to use the service, and matching documents to the right person.
  • Document Storage & Organisation: Storing your documents in your personal document library so you can access them at any time.
  • AI Search & Retrieval: Processing search queries and natural language requests against extracted document text to find specific information on demand.
  • Automated Classification & Alerts: Extracting dates and attributes to classify document types and surface timely reminders.
  • Reminders & Notifications: Delivering the reminders and service notifications you have enabled, at the times you have chosen.
  • Subscription & Billing: Managing your plan, processing payments, and keeping billing records.
  • Nominated Access: Where you set it up, sharing access to your library with a family member or an emergency recipient you nominate.
  • Service Integrity & Support: Keeping your account secure, diagnosing faults, and answering the support requests you send us.

3. Exercise Rights, Withdrawal & Complaints

You have the right to withdraw your consent, access your personal data, and request erasure of your data at any time.

How to Withdraw Consent: Withdraw your consent by deleting your account. You can ask Aydo to delete it directly in conversation, or email privacy@askaydo.ai. Since all processing exists solely to operate your document library, withdrawing consent and deleting your account are the same act. We then remove your documents and personal data from our active systems, and delete residual copies within the retention periods set out in our Privacy Policy. Two things outlive that deletion, and are kept on separate lawful bases rather than on your consent: a one-way hashed identifier used to prevent abuse, and our audit-log entries.

Getting a Copy of Your Data: Download a copy of your data at any time from the profile page of your dashboard. If you would rather we send it to you, or you want data corrected or erased, email privacy@askaydo.ai.

If you hold a shared family account and are not its owner, account deletion runs through the account owner - email us and we will handle your request directly.

Complaints & Escalation: If you have an unresolved grievance regarding your personal data, you may lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Board of India.
